Relax. Even if you are one of the
millions of people who suffer from spider veins or varicose veins, we have a
treatment plan that is safe, effective, and minimally invasive.

With
today’s favorable insurance coverage and
Medicare coverage, the treatment of varicose
veins is available to many patients. Our comprehensive,
non-surgical approach includes Endovenous Laser
Treatment, as well as ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy.
Endovenous
Laser Treatment (EVLT) is a quick, minimally
invasive laser treatment that requires no hospitalization
and no complicated surgery.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia.
There are no incisions. Instead, a small optic
fiber is inserted through a needle into the varicose vein under ultrasound guidance. The
laser is activated and, subsequently the vein
closes. Once the vein is closed, the blood that
was circulating through the vein is naturally
rerouted to other healthy veins. Over time,
the varicose vein is absorbed by the body.
Most patients
will require Sclerotherapy in conjunction with
EVLT to treat smaller veins.
Our combined
use of treatments allows us to meet the needs
of our patients by treating the smallest spider
vein to the largest ropelike varicose vein.
Neither option
requires hospitalization or surgery. Instead,
each is performed in the physician's office.
After treatment, we may recommend you wear a
compression stocking and limit your activity
for 48 hours.
Generally,
the patient can be back on his or her feet resuming
normal activities the next day, or even sooner.
Check patient forms for follow-up care of varicose and spider vein treatments.
